Frustration....

In the famous words of Isabelle. (Yes, it's now Isabelle. No longer are we allowed to call her Belle. *tears* ) I can't believe it!?!?!?! It's the last day of May.

Frustration defines this last week well. Frustration is....The act of frustrating or an instance of being frustrated.
Frustrate means
To cause feelings of discouragement or bafflement in.
I'm definitely discouraged and baffled by much.

Last week we were told my grandfather is deteriorating quickly. He's 94 years old. Guess these ole bodies aren't cut out forever. The nurses and doctors said probably only 4-6 months left. On Monday he had a problem using his legs. Apparently they think he had a mini-heart attack and it cut off the main artery to his legs. He's doing better now.

Yesterday mom had her CAT scan to see what they are going to do about the cancer coming back. She is to get the results from that scan today. I am so worried about her. It makes me wanna cry some days and just not stop. She isn't old and her grandchildren are so young. All of them have another grandmother but they all live in other countries. This isn't fair to them. It's just not right having to grow up without a grandma to show you how much fun and how interesting grandmas can be.

On the garage front..... Nothing new. The mason was scheduled to come last week and lay the blocks but he never showed up. The contractor said he was going to contact him and see when he was coming out this week.

The most frustrating thing of all is when Isabelle got off the bus yesterday the driver told me that the teachers are going on strike Thursday (yes tomorrow). I can understand that teachers need more benefits and pay and all but why make the kids suffer? To top it off it's "Fun Day" at school and since it's the district having fun day and not the Intermediate Unit it will still happen. Therefore all these kids with disabilities who have worked so hard to achieve a goal of having fun on fun day won't be able to participate.

This also has me frustrated because Gwyn is to be evaluated by the IU on Monday so if they aren't back from strike by then what happens? Her EI services end on July 2. This appointment for Monday was set way back in March. It's not likely they are going to be able to reschedule one in a couple weeks.

Monday Stuff

Belle literally lost her first tooth on Friday night. She went to bed with it in her mouth and Saturday morning it was gone. It wasn't loose. Not sure how it popped out. So the Tooth Fairy made her first arrival at our house on Saturday night.

Saturday we went to see Over the Hedge with the girls. That was so much fun. I love watching Gwyn with the big bucket of popcorn. She's so funny and insists that she holds the bucket.

Belle went to the doctors this morning after 2 nights of coughing and waking mommy I thought it was necessary. She's back on an antibiotic and cough medicine. Funny how that stuff is supposed to make her drowsy but she's driving me crazy still.

The cinder blocks arrived for the garage this morning. Guess they'll be laying blocks soon.

I decided to make meatloaf for dinner (Allan's favorite). Mixed it up and have it in the oven and he just called home saying he's sick and on his way home. So I guess that's a bust.
UGH!

I don't like making titles

This morning the inspector was here at 8:30 AM to check things out. then the contractor came back about 11:00 with the concrete truck. They poured the footers and left. The girls were so exicited running from door to window and back again. It's funny how I don't think they really understand what it will look like when this is all done.

Thursday Nothings

Well they never came back with the concrete. So now I have metal stakes in a 2 to 3 foot ditch that only has caution tape around it. I've been so worried that those pesky neighbor cats that I can't stand in the first place fall down in and get stabbed with the stakes. I'm not rescuing them and the contractor is going to have to dispose of them if that does happen.
UGH!

Garage Saga

Well, they came last week dug the footer for the garage. I have a good photo of the backhoe. Then Monday they were to come back and put in the stakes and pour the cement. It rained Monday and Tuesday so this morning the stakes were driven. About 30 minutes ago they left. I'm assuming to go to lunch break. So hopefully they'll be back later this afternoon with the cement truck.

Potty Training 103

Yes, it's that time again. Potty training! I hope it goes better this time around. I can't wait until no more diapers in the house. Oh the tings we have to look forward to. So far this morning she's sat on the little potty to watch Elmo and nothing happened. Gwyn's going to end up having ring around the hiney.
